Mold develops where there is excess water and moisture. Toxic Mold
Certain byproducts are produced during the normal life cycle of a mold. One group is called mycotoxins Mycotoxins can be toxic, cause cancer, and suppress the immune system. Mycotoxins are what many people describe as 'black mold' or 'toxic mold.' Not all mold produces mycotoxins but many molds resulting from water damaged structures do.
Health Risks from Mold Exposure:
Every person reacts to mold differently. Children and the elderly are generally more sensitive to the health effects of mold exposure. The presence of mold ranges from completely harmless to extremely dangerous.
Mycotoxin exposure symptoms may include:

REMEDIATION
Mold clean up must be treated very seriously. Proper remediation procedures are complex, and must be followed. Failure to follow the IICRC S520 mold remediation guidelines can spread spores and cross contaminate previously unaffected areas. Construct Containment Area- Create Negative Air Pressure
- Utilize Hepa Filtration Air Scrubbing Equipment
- Hand Sand or Soda Blast all affected areas
- Hepa Vac all affected areas
- Encapsulate all affected surfaces with anti-microbial biocide
All technicians who are working in the containment area must wear full PPE (personal protective equipment) at all times. No unauthorized persons are to enter the remediation space. Mold is very dangerous, and we take the safety or our customers and technicians very seriously.
