SODA BLASTING

What is Sodablasting? Many people are unfamiliar with the process. Sodablasting is the latest, greenest technology to safely strip paint and/or clean nearly any surface. A soda blasting machine uses compressed air to deliver bicarbonate of soda-based media (baking soda) onto the surface to be cleaned. The concept is very similar to sand blasting, but soda blasting is much gentler to the underlying surface and to the environment. The process is gentle enough to remove the coating without harming the substrate. Virtually any coating can be removed from almost any surface. Soda blast media is FDA approved. It is non-toxic and contains no free silica. It is non-sparking, non-flammable, non-hazardous, and environmentally safe.

Uses and Benefits

Sodablasting technology was developed in the late 1980s through a project to renew the Statue of Liberty. It is a revolutionary process that can remove paint, grease, and neutralize rust without damaging metal, glass, chrome or warp thin sheet metal. It is also an extremely effective method of mold remediation. Mold removal can be accomplished through the use of sodablasting technology twice as fast as hand sanding and wiping.
